Celebrating Gratitude🙏

Giuliana Gasparin

A stiff men in the a desert area with dry, brittle vegetation.

As we approach Thanksgiving, my heart is filled with gratitude for each of you. Your support and trust have been the driving force behind my journey. Witnessing the growth of my practice and the positive changes in your lives has been truly inspiring. Together, we've navigated change, celebrated progress, and continually worked towards better health and well-being.

This past year has been a significant chapter for Dao Del Mar, culminating in the grand opening of our newly renovated space. I invite you to join us this next Wednesday, November 27th, from 5pm to 8pm. We'll have delicious pupus, teas, tinctures, and enriching conversations about health and wellness. It's a moment to reflect on our shared journey and to continue looking forward together.

I can't wait to celebrate with you and share the healing energy of our new space.

Herbal Spotlight: Shan Zha - Hawthorn Berry

In the spirit of the season, our herbal spotlight shines on Hawthorn Berry, or Shan Zha a treasured remedy in traditional Chinese medicine for its dual benefits of supporting digestion and cardiovascular health. Shan Zha is especially fitting during the holidays, as it aids in breaking down rich, fatty foods, making indulgent meals easier on our systems.

Beyond digestion, Shan Zha has been traditionally used to support heart health, with modern studies suggesting its potential to lower blood pressure by improving blood flow and relaxing blood vessels.

At Dao Del Mar, we offer several products featuring Shan Zha, such as Bao He Wan, the "Preserve Harmony Pill." This classic Chinese herbal formula is designed to address food stagnation, alleviating symptoms like bloating and discomfort while harmonizing the stomach. With a blend of hawthorn fruit, medicated leaven, and radish seed, Bao He Wan promotes efficient digestion, particularly for heavy or meat-based meals.

Po Chai Pills are another excellent option. This well known remedy combines herbs like agastache, magnolia bark, and chrysanthemum to regulate the stomach, clear heat, and resolve dampness, making it a reliable companion for unexpected digestive upsets.

Whether you are enjoying a festive feast or looking to support your overall health, these remedies can help you enjoy the season with balance and ease.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season. See you soon!
